Mohammad Azharuddin played as India’s middle order batsman in his era. In December 1986, Azharuddin got out on 199 against Sri Lanka in December 1986 at Kanpur.
- MATTHEW THOMAS GRAY ELLIOT:
Matthew Elliot has represented Australia as an opening batsman in late 90’s and early 2000’s. Elliot fell prey to English man Darren Gough at 199 during the 4th test of Ashes Series in July 1997 at Leeds, England.
- SANATH TERAN JAYASURIYA:
Sanath Jayasuriya is Sri Lanka’s former dashing all-rounder who also got out on the score of 199 against India at Colombo. This happened during the test series in August 1997.
- STEVE RODGER WAUGH:
Steve Waugh is Australia’s ex-cricketer who couldn’t turn his innings of 199 runs into 200 at Bridgetown against West Indies during the 3rd test of test series in March 1999.
- YOUNIS KHAN:
Pakistan’s batting giant Younis Khan also got out on 199 playing against India during the 2006 series. Khan was unfortunate to get a run out by India’s Harbhajan Singh in the 1st test at Lahore on 14th January 2006.
- IAN RONALD BELL:
Ian Bell has represented England in 118 tests who got out on 199 against South Africa at Lord’s during the 2008 series in July.
- STEVEN PETER SMITH:
Steven Smith is Australia’s current test captain. Despite of being the most sensible yet stable Australian player, he failed to turn his knock of 199 into 200 when the umpire declared him lbw out on Jerome Taylor’s delivery during 2nd test of the series in June 2015. He was then named player of the match in that match.
- KANNAUR LOKESH RAHUL:
Kannaur Rahul is India’s opening batsman who got out on the score of 199 against England in Chennai. England’s Adil Rashid got Rahul on 199 in the 5th test of 2016-17 series.
- DEAN ELGAR:
Dean Elgar is South Africa’s opening batsman. Bangladesh’s speedster Mustafizur Rahman got Elgar on 199 during the 1st test between South Africa and Bangladesh at Potchefstroom in September 2017.
